The base gaskets are available in different thickness’s to allow the correct squish clearance to be achieved. The standard gasket is 0.5mm thick and is the most commonly used, the thinner shim gasket are often used together with the standard gasket. This gasket is commonly used to lower the compression deliberately beyond the specification to soften the power. This gasket found on the MY22 Sherco/Scorpa Factory.
